Clementine is a 5 year old female Cocker Spaniel. She joined us after she was picked up as a stray in a neglected condition with a heavily matted coat which had to be shaved off on arrival, unsurprisingly nobody came to claim her.
On her first night in stray kennels, she delivered what appeared to be a dead puppy and she was behaving extremely aggressively towards kennel staff, a heartbreaking story and I can’t imagine how stressful this experience was for her, or where her other pups are if she had any.
Clementine is a beautiful lady and will make a very rewarding addition to her new family. Poor little Clemmey’s world has been turned upside down since arriving with us and initially, she just wanted to run and hide, she has learnt to love us now, once she likes you, she follows you everywhere and just loves to be cuddled.
Clementine like most spaniels, her ears will need regular cleaning, and she will need regular grooming to keep her coat in good condition. Clementine is neutered, microchipped, de-fled and wormed. She is house-trained walks well on the lead is not destructive and can be left for short periods.
Clementine is a very social little lady so could live with other dogs or would be equally happy as the only dog with lots of human company!
Clementine is older, and we think she would prefer an adult-only home where she doesn’t have to share her humans, she would be an ideal companion for someone who is home a lot and wants a little shadow to share their days with.
Clementine is very responsive, quick to learn and easy to train. She loves her home comforts and a cuddle, and likes to sleep on the bed! Clementine travels very well in the car. whoever adopts this little lady will be very lucky indeed as she has the most amazing character.
Clementine will do anything for food, and has just started playing with a ball on pack walks! She is learning to be a dog! Can you offer this beautiful lady the home she so desperately deserves?
