Jet is a 9 year old male Working Cocker Spaniel. He is quite tiny. His coat is so much easier to manage than a non-working Cocker, Silky and not nearly as long and thick he doesn’t need to go to a groomer to maintain it.
Jets owner’s arthritis meant he was unable to walk, so he came to us.
Jet never made it as a working gundog. He was superb when no other dogs were around, but as soon as they arrived he lost all interest in work and wanted to play.
So he became a loyal companion and champion at enticing new canine pals into play. He hasn’t lost this skill and loves other dogs.
Jet is so loyal to his people, but can be suspicious of strangers, especially if they crowd him, and try to make friends before he is ready.
Ignore him till he comes to you, and before long you are part of his inner circle. He is clean indoors, and not destructive. He walks well on and off the lead.
Travels well and is the ideal companion for someone who lives alone, or for a couple who lives a fairly quiet, but reasonably active life.
Jet has little experience with children so isn’t suitable for a family home. Jet is currently at the Sanctuary (Kidwelly), living in the Farmhouse with Mick and a bunch of other dogs, of varying sizes and ages. The adopters will need to be able to travel to meet him.
