Milo is a 3 year old male English Cocker Spaniel. He came to us after there was an incident with a family member at Christmas where he growled at someone, the family thought he was resource guarding and decided to relinquish him.
Milo has been with us since 10th January in a home environment so we could assess the guarding and the only thing he has shown was when he first arrived he got on the sofa and growled at the other dogs that approached, since this he has not been allowed on the sofa and we have not seen any further negative behaviour from him.
Milo is a lively happy little boy that would love a family to play with him and keep him occupied. He loves a walk and loves to greet everyone he meets! He is house trained, and is non-destructive, and happy to be left snoozing for short periods.
He absolutely adores other dogs but can be a bit rough with them, he could live with a larger breed female, but would also be happy as the only dog in the home as long as he has plenty of mental stimulation and exercise. He needs an adult only home; he prefers the quiet life although he is happy to meet children out and about and is friendly enough.
Milo comes across as a bit of a grumpy old man, but he is a really friendly happy lad that loves to snuggle on the sofa with you, and on the bed at night if he is allowed. He walks beautifully on the lead and is a real pleasure to own. He needs a cocker spaniel experienced home that is familiar with the breeds traits and ailments.
Milo ideally needs a job to do, he would literally play ball with you all day long if allowed, and would walk for miles. Milo will do ANYTHING FOR FOOD, like most spaniels!
Milo is a gorgeous happy, active lad that so desperately needs a forever home and family to grow old with.
