Ned is a 5 month old male English Cocker Spaniel. His dad is presumed to be a Kelpie being fostered in Gloucestershire in an adult home with two other dogs.
Mr Ned started his life on a farm near Wiltshire, he was meant to be a Working Cocker Spaniel when born, all the puppies were legally docked (we have the paper work) but as they matured it was pretty clear that dad was not a Spaniel after-all but one of the working Kelpie’s on the farm. We have pictures of both parents and Ned as a baby.
Mr Ned was homed at 8 weeks old to a local family, they were an experienced dog home who did everything right. He attended puppy classes, was loved and looked after but as he got a bit older they started to struggle with his high energy and balancing it with family life. They made the hard decision to hand Ned over to rescue where he could be homed with the correct family which would match his needs, they easily could have sold him or given him away but wanted it done properly for Ned’s sake.
So that was how this lovely boy ended up in our care. Ned has been with us longer enough now for us to know him better and so match him up with the right family.
